Viola Film – Movies & Tv Series Production

Viola Film was founded in June 2016 by the Producer, Alessandro Passadore, through the professional relationship he has with Eric Welbers, CEO of the German company NDF. Their main objective is to produce high quality content for Italy and Europe.

Even though the company is new, Viola Film has already started establishing contacts with the most important Italian and international audio-visual networks to develop new projects.

Viola Film’s objective is to specialise in independent productions, as well as in the executive production of original and innovative works for cinema, television and the web.

Alessandro Passadore

Born in 1967, he followed in his father’s footsteps. He has been on sets since he was a child, so when he officially started working at the age of 18, he already had some experience. Nevertheless, he worked his way up the production ladder, from a labourer to a runner, from a production secretary to a production manager. Since 1996, he has worked as a Line Producer and then as an Executive Producer, producing dozens of movies and TV series in Italy for the most important Italian film production companies, covering over 180 hours of entertainment. In 2005, he produced the Italian motion picture “PIANO 17” with Manetti Bros., which Hollywood Reporter defined as “The miracle budget film.” Until 2016, he continued in his position as an Executive Producer for many Italian TV series, such as “Don Matteo 1”, the sage “Inspector Rex”, the mini-series “Cinderella”, the international production “The Baader Meinhof Complex” and the recent TV series “Rocco Schiavone”.

Now more than ever, Italy has many resources for the production of movies and TV series, and we know how to use them. What follows is a brief overview of the current situation: A new law was passed in Italy on November 3, 2016, to increase the public financing for films and TV series to € 400,000,000 per year, thanks to a self-financing system that automates and guarantees funds. Tax credits have increased, making them easier to draw on productions from foreign countries that entrust their executive production to Italian companies have a 25% tax credit on the costs borne on Italian territory! We are waiting for the decrees to be issued in the coming months, but come and meet us in the meantime. We have over twenty years of experience in the executive production of foreign films in Italy, and take pride in working with the most skilled collaborators. Take a look at the foreign works we have produced before Viola Film was founded…
